Minjeong Guem is known as a media artist, particularly for her video sculpture works. She deconstructs and modifies where she is standing with her imagination and the space that she transforms into is a video within the screen, and she enjoys thinking and handling this in a material way. In the video, her story is unfolded, and another new story is created by structurally deconstructing, transforming, and/or reconstructing the space. She participated in several public art projects in Korea, and residency programs in Green River project-Korea/Taiwan Exchange Artist Residency in Taiwan, The National Art Studio Goyang in Korea since 2007. The works are owned by various places, including Seoul Museum of Art, Museum of Contemporary Art Busan, Kumho Museum of Art, and National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art. She is currently a professor at the Graduate School of Fine Arts, Hongik University.
