My practice is rooted in an exploration of nature, growth and transformation, drawing from organic forms and the cycles of life. Through clay and mixed media, I investigate how natural forms can embody ideas of resilience, connection and change.

ROOTS 根 reflects my contemplation of growth and perseverance. Inspired by the unseen structures that anchor and sustain life, the five ceramic forms explore roots as both physical foundations and metaphors for identity, strength and spiritual growth. Their organic forms suggest a continuous reaching, branching and searching beneath the surface.

ENTWINE 缠 extends this exploration into an imagined future where nature and human-made materials become increasingly intertwined. Fragmented ceramic forms are held together by lines of PLA, a plant-derived bioplastic transformed through industrial processes. Drawn with a 3D pen, the PLA acts like stitches, binding what has been broken while simultaneously exposing the tension between fragility and intervention. The hollow spaces and visible joins suggest a future in which natural and manufactured materials no longer exist separately, but become entwined.

Together, these works consider how we grow, adapt and coexist within an evolving relationship between nature and human intervention.
