Having lived and worked across Austria, Australia, China, the United States, and Singapore, Lam Fung graduated from the China Academy of Art on a scholarship in 1990. He was then invited to the Austrian Akademie der Bildenden Kunste to join the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts Master School for Painting and Printmaking, where he received a Master’s degree with first-class honours in 1993. Lam is the founder of the contemporary group 'Ink Forum' and a Distinguished Professor at the China Academy of Art. His distinctive black-and-white and vibrant-colour paintings are held in the collections of the Monaco royal family, the Albertina Museum in Austria, and the University of Hong Kong.
