" My childhood dream was to be an animal keeper. "
Artwork by Korean artist

My childhood dream was to be an animal keeper.I started my career as an artist by chance, and now I try to achieve a dream, which I could not achieve in the past, by expressing emotional stories such as dreams and hopes that I had to give up due to the surrounding environment and complex human relationships. The units of the artwork are cell-like concepts which can be said to be the memories of the past. Each small unit is collected and realizes the dream of the past. The various colors shown in the unit have their own symbolic meanings. Especially, the rough black touch on the surface of the artwork covering the units represents the hardship and adversity we experience in the world, and also they mean the artist's own childhood ordeals and episodes. In other words, it is the birth of a new sculpture with vitality when a symbol of each color and an object containing the social or individual era meet each other. My artworks have very pop aspects on the surface, but I want to talk about the conflict and communication between dreams and the surrounding environment of human in a sincere and plain manner.
