What is the selection process? Do you accept all artists?
At KoreanArtist, we select artists with national recognition and global potential. Most importantly, we look for full-time professional artists who have an established career and consistently participate in various national and international exhibitions.
Requirements:
- Artists with Korean nationality
- Artist based in Korea
Some additional attributes we look for among our community of distinguished artists include:
- Recipients of noteworthy national and international prizes.
- Selection for prestigious artist residencies.
- Degrees from the world's most reputable art schools and universities.
- Exhibition experience in i- nternational museums and/or prestigious national institutions.
- Auction sales.
- Published books, monographs and features in leading art publications.
Though not all of these achievements are necessarily required to be accepted by KoreanArtist, they are of course a huge advantage and highly valued by our selection team. -
How do I sign up?
Simply click on the "Apply Now" button, and fill out the form in detail. Our Admissions Team will do a thorough check, and revert back to you within 7 days during working hours or on the next business day.

What does the subion fee cover?
The cost of the monthly or yearly subion is to cover the running and maintenance of your artist page.
Administrators are provided for the management of works and portfolios. -
Is there a free trial available?
Upon subion, artists are given a 30-day trial period.

OK, I’m in! I’ve applied and paid, what next?
- You create your artist page.(Support team exists for page creation.)
- The curation team will check and supplement the artist page.
- CONGRATS! Your page is pushed live by our Curation Team! -
Can I cancel my subion if I change my mind?
Of course! You can cancel your subion at any time through the back-office interface. Upon subion, artists are granted a 30-day trial period during which they may cancel and receive a full refund. After this 30-day period, refunds for the plan will no longer be available.
Cancellations after the trial period:
Monthly Subions:
You'll have access to the service until the end of the current payment cycle upon cancellation in the back office, and your subion will not be renewed. For example, if your most recent monthly payment was made on January 1st 2024, and you decide to cancel on June 15th 2024, you'll have access to the services until June 30th 2024.
Annual Subions:
You can write to us the date you want to cancel your subion but there will be no reimbursement for the months you have not used.
If you cancel your subion, all data will be safely deleted and not archived.

How can I benefit from the offer of 2 months free when subscribing for an annual plan?
When opting for the annual subion option, you'll automatically get two months of service for free, regardless of the chosen plan.

I have a basic plan, how many pieces can I upload?
The basic plan is to help you manage your portfolio and promote your work. You can upload a total of 10 artworks, and it comes with a great portfolio page. It comes with a work list and a management page to create a CV.

What's the difference from a professional plan?
The professional plan is to help us start selling art around the world.
You can register unlimited works, and you can sell them anywhere in the world immediately.
Is it difficult to consult, negotiate delivery fees, pack, customs procedures, and deliver?
Once the customer is interested in the work, it comes with support services that act on behalf of the entire sales process.
Professional plans can benefit from plans that are better suited to managing your growing business! -

Will KoreanArtist charge a commission on sales?
If you use KoreanArtist’s payment gateway system (where applicable):
Domestic sales (Korea): A 5% PG service fee (excluding VAT) will be charged to the seller.
Global sales: Additional currency exchange and payment method fees may apply, subject to prior agreement before the sale.
Payment schedule: All payments are settled on the 15th of the month following delivery completion. -
Can I still work with other galleries?
Absolutely! We believe that artists should have the freedom to sell their work wherever they wish. There is no exclusivity requirement with KoreanArtist and you will be able to continue working with other galleries and online platforms.

How does shipping work?
KoreanArtist takes care of organizing shipment of artworks and the client pays for shipping. Once you make a sale with us, you'll be assigned a Logistics Manager who will help you with:
- Instructions on packaging the artwork.(Packaging must be done by the seller.)
- Arranging for our partnered couriers to collect the artwork at the address of your choice.
- Managing all import/export and insurance costs. -
Who sets the price of my artwork?
The artist has every right to set the price themselves!
